I couldn`t find any reviews showing what the Kindle`s whispernet is like. So I made one! I live in Japan, so the connection speed might be a bit different but I think this gives you a good idea of what it`s like to use. Hope somebody finds this useful. For the record I have nothing against the iphone/ipad. If I wanted to do anything more than reading/email on a train I would have bought one of them instead. Also I chose the kindle 2 partly because it works out about 4 times cheaper than a 2 year iphone/ipad internet connection. ??????????????????????? ????????????????????????? ?????????????????

: Read Review @ kindlechat.blogspot.com or buy @ astore.amazon.com The Kindle 3 carries over lot of Kindle 2 reading-centered features, including social networking, free 3G access to Kindle Store (and its wide selection of competitively priced books and other reading materials), 60 second book downloads, free 3G access in over 100 countries, and cross-platform book sharing. On the other hand, the Kindle 3 makes big improvements on the Kindle 2 over (1) ease of carrying the device, (2) ease of using it, and (3) readability of the device. read the rest of this review @ kindlechat.blogspot.com

Find out which is the best tablet.. As mentioned above, the Fire gets by with the same silicon that powered the PlayBook: a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP chip, but here paired with only 512MB of RAM. Perhaps it’s the step down from the standard 1GB, or perhaps it’s the heavy-handed software overlay running atop Android, but the Fire never delivers smooth, seamless performance. While Amazon’s own carousel of recently used items is slick and smooth, we had inconsistent results with APKs we sideloaded on here. Amazon’s own media players work well, but third party ones that offered better compatibility with file formats universally did not. That said, 2D games like the omnipresent Angry Birds ran without issue, and simple 3D games like Fruit Ninja had no problems either. Given the Fire has no access to the Android Market many of our favorite benchmarks were unavailable to us. We were able to sideload Nenamark and Nenamark 2, but running the second caused the Fire to crash. Hard. After resetting the device (it takes just over 30 seconds to boot, for the record) we opted to stick with web-based benchmarks. Of those, the Fire achieved a respectable average score of 2440 on SunSpider 9.1. Given the mysteries of Amazon’s Silk browser, which offloads at least some of the rendering to the company’s servers in the cloud, we’re not 100 percent confident in that score — especially since browser performance itself didn’t wow us (more on that in a moment). But, as it’s meant as a test of …
Amazon Kindle Fire vs Apple iPad 2 review comparison. The Amazon Kindle Fire landed in 2011 to take on the iPad 2. Can Amazon’s super tablet take on the best selling tablet on the planet? We put the two head-to-head. In 2010, almost twelve months ago, the Apple iPad swaggered onto the stage and changed the way we viewed tablet computers forever. In the year that followed, it won Gadget of the Year at the T3 Awards 2010 and garnered a place on the tech world’s exclusive hall of fame. This ‘post PC’ device single-handedly re-shaped our expectations on how we wish to receive content and has potentially rejuvinated the entire publishing industry. With several newspapers and magazines, including T3, jumping on the iPad waggon, it seems the world of print could meet its fate earlier than expected. Now, as competitors from the Android, RIM, with its BlackBerry Playbook, and WebOS, tug on its cape, eager to fly alongside the iPad, Apple is back with an improved device offering a streamlined design and more power. All for the same price. Can the Apple iPad 2 pull further away from the chasing pack, and does it do enough to tempt first-generation owners into an upgrade? T3 tested the 32GB WiFi version to find out. The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet view, is powerful, sexy and, unlike Apple products, refreshingly cheap. This lethal combination means the tablet will be a notable challenger to Apple’s iPad 2. It arrives after Motorola, HTC, with its HTC Flyer tablet, Samsung and Sony, with …
